No, we discussed this somewhere on this list.  The basic gist of it is
that the code is too different when it comes to a -S operation and a
-U/-A operation.  Before something like this is fixed, we *need* to
unify the code.  This is the only proper fix, and I'd rather not
include hacks at this stage.
