Thanks for the tip. It works regardless of being buggy. It seems no matter
what app you use to play the midi file that add-on always tries with
gmplayer first, which fails. Thanks a lot!

Install the MediaPlayerConnectivity add-on for firefox. It'll give you  a
link that you can use to download the midi file. You can also configure
the add-on to automatically play the midi with the app of your choice when

you click on it.
