Hello,

new ISOs will be released more often in future when the release schedule is
sychronized to the one of kernel.org. I think to use bittorrent will reduce
the traffic of ftp.archlinux.org and its mirrors.

So I set up rtorrent on archlinux.de. But this does not seem to be the best
solution. Its quite "complicated" to run rtorrent as "daemon" (using screen).
It is also not possible to set a traffic limit per month.

So, what do we need:
* a torrent server running as a daemon
* it should write log files
* a traffic limit per month
* it should run in the background without any user interaction

Does anybody know a client which fullfills this or how to achive this with
rtorrent? I tried torrentflux but it needs too much cpu time.

Pierre

PS: Perhaps a torrent tracker on arrchlinux.org would be a good idea. The one
at linuxtracker.org seems to have a lot of problems (tracker error 3).
