Ok all, I'm going to compile a list of packages that we're going to try to get rid of. The reason being that our man power for maintaining all these packages is pretty low.
So, what I'd like to do to start this off is the following. From you guys, the end users, can you let me know what packages in extra you think don't really belong there? What I mean is this: often times, there are packages that come along which are so much better than something else, a vast majority of users jump ship for the new app. Take, for instance, openbox/fluxbox. To you devs, please let me know if you feel any of your packages don't belong either - you probably know these packages better than other people. This will speed up my job in compiling this list (I already have a few of my own packages listed). By this Friday, I'd like to have a list complete so we can begin moving some things to community / unsupported as we see fit. This will require some TU input as well - if you guys see a package you'd want to maintain, we can move it to community actually easier than moving it to the AUR. So anyway, expect some packages to be moving out of extra this weekend.
