I would advise putting out a new ISO with pacman 3 as soon as possible. Installing Arch Linux is nontrivial for newbies such as myself, and the pacman issue will just create a new hurdle for them. I had to try 3 different times, and I was one of the people thrown off when the main server was throttled back.
