I know a couple of people are waiting for an update to perlcpan, with all
its changes. I originally expected to blast out an update last night but I
thought I'd post an announcement here as I'm guessing not a lot of you read
the planet for news, so I'm repeating:

I’ve gone ahead and begun work on implementing the Perl Policy[1] in my
PerlCPAN Repository[2].

*If you are a current user of this repo, you may want to consider removing
it from pacman.conf if you do not agree with the changes I’m making.*

I’ve yet to commit any of those changes (which are outlined in Arch Perl[3]
documents).

*The most important thing to consider is that packages in this
repository will not be compatible with Arch Linux provided perl packages.*

I plan on cutting over the new packages and tuesday morning. (06/19/07)

It's my hope that at some point in the future if others see merit in all
the changes I've made, they pull in the changes via git or svn.
