Hi All, I'm new to Archlinux and I'm very impressed so far. I'm running the 64 bit version with the e17 desktop and I've run into a little problem that I haven't been able to solve. I can run dvdstyler as root and everything is fine but when I try to run it as a regular user I get the following error message:
Burning :-[ READ DISC INFORMATION failed with SK=2h/ASC=04h/ACQ=07h]: Resource temporarily unavailable Error executing of command: growisofs -V "DVD" -dvd-compat -Z /dev/dvd -dvd-video "/Arthur/DVDRips/tmp/dvd/" I got this message with the binary version so I built dvdstyler with ABS and the message is the same, so I removed the "ro" option from fstab /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 user,noauto,unhide 0 0 /dev/dvd /mnt/dvd udf user,noauto,unhide 0 0 and the message remains the same, so I made myself a member of every group in the /etc/group file: root::0:root,a bin::1:root,bin,daemon,a daemon::2:root,bin,daemon,a sys::3:root,bin,a adm::4:root,daemon,a tty::5:a disk::6:root,a lp::7:daemon,a mem::8:a kmem::9:a wheel::10:root.a ftp::11:a mail::12:a log::19:root,a smmsp::25:a games::50:a network:x:90:a video:x:91:a audio::92:a optical::93:hal,a floppy:x:94:hal,a storage:x:95:hal,a power:x:98:a nobody::99:a users::100:a slocate:x:21:a dbus:x:81:a avahi:x:84:a hal:x:82:a and the message remains the same. I don't have much experience with these files because I've only used "user friendly" distributions that don't make you get your hands dirty. If anyone could help out by giving me a clue I'd appreciate it very much. Everything else works very well so thanks to everyone involved in making this great distribution.
