I have run -Syu almost every day. Apart from two very minor issues (not bugs, just things I needed better to understand), I have not had a single problem. I am amazed at the speed with which new versions of programs appear in the repos. There are so many distros available, I am surprised that anyone stays around to criticise one which they have fallen out of love with.
