Hi Everyone As Roy Tennant pointed out (welcome to the forum Roy!), the PBS News Hour (a national US public television news program) ran a segment last night that focused primarily on on SurveyLA , the citywide historic resource survey of Los Angeles that is being carried out by the City of LA through the support of the Getty. The segment also tied this work to the Getty Conservation Institute's and World Monuments Fund's development of the Middle Eastern Geodatabase for Antiquities (MEGA) - Jordan (which sprang out of a collaborative project to help Iraq's national heritage authority), our subsequent development of Arches (the segment incorrectly says that Arches was implemented in Jordan), and the current effort to customize Arches for the City of LA. Some of you in the US might have seen the segment. If not, you can view it (7 minutes) online at: http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/preserving-cultural-treasures-los-angeles-one-block-time/
A number of enhancements to Arches are currently underway through the customization for the City of LA, and will be included in the release of version 3.0 planned for the end of this year.
