Hi Adam - 

The shapefile loader was written so that we could easily modify it to 
support other formats.  Unfortunately, it doesn't yet support standard csv 
files, and there isn't a way relate shapefile records to other resources 
during a batch load.  You would have to at those relationships in the UI 
after your shapefile is uploaded. That said - it is helpful to hear about 
your use case as I'm sure we will continue to make batch loading easier 
moving forward.
