Hi Jin, from checking out a few Gephi forum questions, here <https://forum.gephi.org/viewtopic.php?t=3387> and here <https://forum.gephi.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3580&p=10712#p10712>, it seems that perhaps you don't have the correct version of Java; Gephi needs an older version. If you are putting Gephi on the same system as Arches, this may be a little complicated because the Arches documentation <https://arches-hip.readthedocs.org/en/latest/installing-dependencies-windows/?highlight=jdk#install-the-latest-java-development-kit-jdk> recommends the latest version of Java.
Personally, I've only installed Arches on cloud server or a VM, and not my laptop (which is where I have Gephi) so I haven't run into this problem yet.
