Is anyone out there using QGIS Server to provide WMS overlays to their
Arches instance? We have set this up and found it to be very easy to use.
However, just recently I notice some very strange behavior that I can not
figure out and doesn't make sense.

We loaded resources via a shapefile into our instance which were line
segments along a shoreline. We then used the same shapefile to create an
overlay in QGIS which we sent to our instance as a WMS. In theory the
overlay should show up right on top of the resources. And this
happens.....on 3 out of 5 of the computers we have looked at the instance
on. On two of the computers there is an offset between the resource and
the overlay. This is consistent between browsers too, if there is an
offset on a computer, it shows up on any browser used. If there is
alignment on the computer it shows up in different browsers. Additionally,
there is a significant offset on mobile devices, we haven't found a mobile
device yet that shows alignment. The 3 cpus that show alignment are
running Win 7, 8 and 10. The ones that show offset are both 7.

I have attached some frame grabs showing the issues.

This really doesn't make sense to me as to why there would be difference
between computers.

As a test I used the same shapefile to create an overlay in Mapbox. This
shows alignment on both of the computers that showed an offset with QGIS,
and the Mapbox layer shows alignment on at least one mobile device (haven't
had a chance to test another one).

Anyone have any suggestions as to why this would be the case?

Obviously one option is to drop QGIS and use Mapbox, however we probably
won't be able to do this as we would like to be able to serve up these
layers as WMS to other companies mapping applications, and I don't think we
can do that with Mapbox unless we share our key. I have avoided Geoserver
up to this point as QGIS was so easy, however, I may have to give this a
shot.
