Hello, This is my first post in this group, so please allow me to post stupid questions.
Is there any way to automatically generate a human-readable serial number in Arches? In my project, project stakeholders are expecting me to come up with universal serial number for all the heritages and artifacts. I am thinking of this kind of scheme "AREA-SUBAREA-DIGIT", for example KAT-SWA-000001 (First building at Swayambhunath, Kathmandu). "AREA-SUBAREA-" is a prefix and number is a integer. I observed that Arches generates a long serial number, but it is not recognizable to human. It allows to add ID as a external reference, but human have to keep the records and provide ID to system. Does anybody have an answer for this case? I have another question. I like to see a list of artifacts when I click a museum on the map, but it's not how Arches works. What is best way to inventorize artifacts at museum with Arches? Thank you. -- -- To post, send email to [email protected]. To unsubscribe, send email to [email protected].
