Hi Andy, that's very strange.  I can't speak for your customized app, but 
the default Arches-HIP app uses the same HTML file 
(templates/views/search/time-filter.htm) in both the related resource page 
and the search results page.  I have a feeling that the construction is 
different, however, because in Arches-HIP the date types are not defined in 
the search.py view, but as a list of concepts that are pulled in by the 
select2 dropdown widget in the time-filter.htm file.
