Hello to both of you, this sort of customization, changing resource graphs, forms, and reports, will be one of the most defining characteristics of Arches v4 which is currently in production. The platform will feature an in-app editor for resource graphs, so making these changes will be much easier It will be late summer before it is released though, so until then I would definitely agree with Vincent that it's easiest to start with the Arches-HIP default resource graphs/forms/reports and make your changes there.
I've done a lot of this customizing for my own projects, and made a few scripts along the way to speed things up. I just spent a little time making these into a repo, which you can clone/fork/help with here: https://github.com/mradamcox/arches3_utils You will need to follow the instructions to set the path to your app's location, but it's a very simple process, and there are instructions in the repo. Please feel free to log issues if you come across them, and, as these are meant (right now) to run directly on your app, be sure to back up your source_data directory before using them! I have added comments at the top of each script so please read these before using any of them. Let me know if you need help or have some more ideas...
