Hi Everyone I would like to call to everyone's attention a session on Digital Heritage Inventories at the CIPA (ICOMOS International Scientific Committee on Heritage Documentation) 2017 symposium, which will be held in Ottawa, Canada, August 28-September 1, 2017.
I would like to invite members of the Arches forum to consider submitting an extended abstract or paper on your own experiences to the Digital Heritage Inventories session, which I will be chairing. Please also feel free to pass this invitation on to others. As this call indicates, individuals may choose to either submit a full paper manuscript or an extended abstract. The deadline is February 1, 2017 (sorry for the late notice - note the option to submit an extended abstract). You can find the call for papers online at: http://www.cipaottawa.org/site/faq/ Those whose paper and abstract is accepted will then have the opportunity to present their work at the CIPA symposium. Members of the forum might also find of interest that the Arches Project will be holding a workshop at CIPA2017 in Ottawa on version 4 of Arches. The Arches workshop is scheduled to take place on Sunday August 27. You can find further details on the Arches workshop, as well as register for it, on the Arches events page at: http://archesproject.org/events/ Please note that participants in the Arches wokshop must also register for the CIPA symposium. Note that daily and student registration rates are available. Please feel free to contact me off forum if you have have any questions about submitting a paper or abstract for the Digital Heritage Inventories session.
