Hi,

I'm new to this group and the Arches Project and excited about the
functionality it offers.
I have a question concerning the exports of Thesauri and Arches'
architecture in general:

I noticed that the content of the XML Elements are JSON like {"id",
"value"}, where "id" contains the unique ID that supposedly all elements
get within Arches.
Why are these IDs exported, do I need to keep track of them if i somehow
transform my Thesauri in other applications and want to re-import them into
Arches? I have tried importing Thesauri with JSON like content like in the
export and also with plain content like in a normal SKOS-compliant file and
I have not seen any visible difference, except that upon importing files
without Arches IDs, I will probably create new elements with new IDs in
Arches' database, even if the same elements already existed. Is that true
and if so, can these redundancies become a problem if I do this many times?

Thank you for you time!

Johannes Ebster
