Hi Johannes, it does seem strange that it would have changed. I'd recommend looking in the Permissions tab of the Arches Designer for that resource model (and any others you're having trouble with) as that's where this type of data access permission is handled.
While viewing that tab you can get some guidance by clicking the ? button in the top right corner of the page.
