Hi, All; As you may remember from last week's meeting, I've been sketching out a client-side equivalent of kettle.dataSource.URL <https://github.com/fluid-project/kettle/blob/master/lib/dataSource-url.js#L26> for the last few days. Antranig and I have been reviewing, and trying to figure out how best to create a dataSource that can be used interchangeably between the browser and node environments.
One key point we discussed is URL parsing, which is completely different between browsers and node. As a means of opening the discussion up more broadly, I have drafted a technology evaluation here: https://wiki.gpii.net/w/Technology_Evaluation_-_URL_parsing The list of viable candidate libraries is pretty short at the moment (there are two I'm still looking at).
