Hi,
As per some user queries, we identified following problems related to
JNDIaccess from web apps.
1)Confusion between carbon level JNDI resources and Tomcat level JNDI.
2)Use of webappbound property
3)Accessing JNDI resources from hibernate/spring web apps
4)Lack of proper documentation
As per the discussion had with the carbon team, we decided to make some
modifications to JNDI lookup.
According to the new implementation,
When a lookup call is made inside a webapp, it will first look in to
Tomcat JNDI resources.
If it is not there it will go to carbon JNDI context.
With these changes web apps can access Tomcat JNDI resources as same as in
TOMCAT + carbon JNDI resources.
We will come up with a proper documentation too.
Thanks.
