Hi Samisa, For users of old AS/ESB this won't mean anything because they can continue to use the older activity monitoring components with older BAM versions.
What we are doing in the toolbox aspect is merely not shipping the activity monitoring toolbox which has so far been used for visualization in BAM. There have been no back-end changes; meaning that even if a user were to drop the activity monitoring toolbox into BAM 2.4.0 and publish data from older AS/ESB it will work just as well as the previous BAM versions. If the user wants to make use of the new activity monitoring implementation (i.e. correlating events and tracking activities across multiple WSO2 products etc..) he will have to switch to BAM 2.4.0 and has to use the corresponding AS/ESB etc from Carbon version 4.2.0. In this instance, he will not be able to use the old (pre-Carbon 4.2.0) activity data agent to publish data to BAM, but rather use the new message tracing data agent.
