Hi All, Please find the below mentioned points which were discussed at the meeting held today on Visual DataMapper. *Participants: *Sanjiva, Harshana, Gillian, Lali, AsankaS, Susinda, GayanK, Sohani Data Mapper Graphical Editor - Input and Output Data Containers should display in the middle of the graphical editor instead of displaying top left and top right corners. - Make the data mapper edit diagram panel non movable inside the canvas - Need to define array type ( eg: define array type for the employee under employees unless it will get confused if there is field called employee as well) - Use proper icons for operators - Introduce more operations ( ToLowerCase, ToUpperCase) - Differentiate List type and Array type by introducing different icons in the input and output Data Containers. - Introduce multi- level mapping operations (sequence of operators) - Display the data types of the data fields and also restrict mapping data types which are incompatible. - Provide an option in the graphical editor as, first appear two empty boxes, then allow to import objects in both boxes or define input and output types, data import mechanism ( either as raw data or data definition) Data Mapper Engine - Configuration functions should define parameters as input and output.
