*Actions*:
- Required fields should be marked with * in the wizard
- Need to indicate that "Update interval" is in seconds
- Toggling between series of a particular chart should be made possible
without pausing
- Preview the results of the user provided sql query in the same window
and allow user to try out different queries before proceeding
- At the "Data mapping" window show the selected chart type
- Assume tabular data format coming from any plug-able data source and
insert an intermediate layer to format data required for specific chart type
- X data source --> data in tabular format --> data processing
layer for selected chart
- Re-factor the generated jag file to call modules and get the work
done for filtering and formatting data
*Other observations* :
- Drill down feature for gadgets needs to be supported from the gadget
template.
- Let's say there's a pie chart with country vice data, when you
click on a particular country in the chart, you will get a bar chart with
provincial data of the selected country.
- A customized pie chart template needs to be written to support the
drill down functionality, but the existing bar chart template
can be reused
to show provincial data.
- Review the wizard UI for better user experience regarding preview of
data results and etc
- Filtering of data displayed on a gadget
- Filtering can be within the same gadget
- Filtering may be based on another gadget - pub sub model (Ex: based
on a time slider gadget)
- Copying of entire gadget template source upon adding of a gadget to
the dashboard Vs sharing the gadget template
*Future items*
- Ability to configure multiple data sources for a single chart.
