Hi Sumedha, Amila, Nuwan,

Great. Then we are on the same page, :). Now having said that, I see that
there is a tiny flaw in how we modelled lifecycles in the registry.

The lifecycle is actually a set of states a resource can be in. Based on
the dictionary definition, it is a series of changes that can happen to a
something. But, things like the checklists, validations, approvals and
executions are part of the workflow associated with a lifecycle. Up until
now, we actually have been packaging both of these concepts together as
lifecycle in registry.

Also, if you take a look @ the use-cases at the platform-level, some
components want the lifecycle aspect, but some want the workflow aspect.
IMHO, this partly why somethings are not properly fitting to the lifecycle
model in the registry.

Given that we are making some serious improvements to registry, repository
and governance APIs in the C5 time-frame, I find it useful to properly
separate these concerns and make things more reusable. WDYT?

Thanks,
Senaka.
