Hi all,
Please find the meeting notes of the $ Subject we had with the following
participants regarding the gadget generation tool of the UES.
*Participants : *Isabelle, Srinath, Ruchira, Suho, Anjana, Tanya
*Actions :*
- Data-source window
- Provide the facility to select from the existing data-sources that
are configured in the master-datasources.xml
- SQL query window
- Depending on the selected data-source, show the available tables
and their column headers so that user can write the SQL query easily.
- Store modal window
- Clean up the store model window.
- Remove "Bookmarks" tab
- Keep only the gadget templates and remove the rest ( Ex: WSO2
jira gadget etc ) from the window
- Remove "External" tab
- Keep the search box and the tag support
- Change "Select Gadget" to "Select Template"
*Other Observations :*
- When a gadget is added to the dashboard, the files related to that
particular dashboard is not accessible in the Jaggery Web IDE.
- When configuring a new data-source by the wizard, passwords are saved
as plain-text.
- Encourage users to configure and use existing data-sources as
configuring data-sources in the tool is not scalable. (Ex : show up a
warning)
