Hi,

This is the summary of the meeting which was held yesterday to review the
improvements which were done to App Factory tools. Participants : Isabelle,
Shiroshica, Jasintha & me.

The key discussion was on the improvements related to per developer
repository concept of App Factory. Additionally, following changes for App
Factory tools, were suggested.

1. Remove the application label suffix "-Closed"

When an application is not checked in to local workspace, its name is
suffixed with "-Closed", and when it is checked out, its suffixed with
"-Checked out". The suggestion is to remove the suffix for non checked out
state. Also, it was discussed to remove both suffixes and use different
colors for label text to show the contrast between states.

2. Resolve dependencies after checking out

After checking out an application, it is opened in local workspace with a
lot of errors caused by unavailable dependencies. This should be avoided by
building the project automatically using maven at the initial checkout.

3. Remove automatic login on startup (this happens when user has saved
credentials) & remove login prompt at startup

App factory login window is linked with App Factory perspective startup.
Eclipse loads last opened perspective on startup. So, if a user has closed
DevStudio while working in app factory perspective, there are two possible
startup scenarios.

- If user has already saved credentials, no interrupts will happen to
startup. He/she will automatically logged in and apps will be displayed.
- If credentials are not saved, dev studio startup will be interrupted by
App Factory login prompt.

The suggestion is to remove the authentication part (applies both above
scenarios) on startup and allow user to get login prompt manually by
clicking on the button available at application list view tool bar.

4. Fix typo in preferences window. (App Factor -> App Factory)

5. Look into the possibility/advantages of connecting to App Factory's
Jenkin instance, using available eclipse plug-ins, to get more information
about builds and display them within Dev Studio. (Dev Studio currently can
fetch build logs)

Thanks.
