Hi, I think the most important aspect is consistency across WSO2 products. All WSO2 products should support the same set of representations of the resources they manage. I.e., either all support both, XML as well as JSON, or only JSON, or only XML. A product that deviates from this "rule" should argue why this is the case.
This consistency will ease writing programs that use APIs of multiple WSO2 products.
