Hi Everyone, CDM-Framework is a platform that provides room for developers to build plugins upon various different device types such as mobiles, smart devices, etc. Therefore, it's one of the key functionalities of the process of plugin development that we have the ability to organize certain UI blocks such as menus, configurations, etc in groups.
Let me take the following example to better explain the requirement. Say we have two device types being supported via the framework, namely, Mobiles and Nest Thermostats upon which some configurations need to be done over some UI blocks, before being able to successfully use them for device management related functionalities. There we'd not be able to organize the corresponding UI bits in an ad-hoc manner across various zones within the UI as it breaks consistency and harms end-user experience. In other words, this brings out the need to have a specific dedicated location for UI bits used upon a certain category of functionality. Further, the requested functionality would be somewhat analogous to what we've already got in the existing Carbon UI framework, where there are specific menus available to the left-hand side of the console for configurations, tools, etc, defined through "component.xml"s of the associated UI bundles. This is particularly useful for people who are into plugin development, as if this is available, they can simply configure their UI blocks to automatically get deployed into the required zones in the end-user UI, without having to manually go and add pages, and other UI bits, themselves. @Ruichira/Manu/ES team, Do we already have this functionality or some good workaround as part of the Unified UI framework?
