Hi All, I am upgrading BRS from Drools 5.6.0 in which the Knowledge Base API is used to Drools 6.2.0.
Drools 6.2.0 introduces a new configuration and convention approach to building knowledge bases i.e. Kie api(Knowledge Is Everything), instead of using the programmatic builder approach in 5.x versions. The old builder is still available in the new version. In the process of upgrading the Drools version of BRS to 6.2.0 with the old builder (knowledge base as used in 5.x) and came across some errors. But I was able overcome them by changing the import statements of some classes as necessary. Currently I'm testing different use cases to check for the the compatibility of drools 6.2.0 with the old knowledge base. In addition to that I will be checking the performance of the old builder and the newly introduced Kie api with drools 6.2.0 and will do some API changes if needed.
