Hi All, Apologies if this is already discussed. In ESB analytics there exist component[1] (Custom UDFs) which has the capability of finding most appropriate date Unit for the given time range which will provide best possible data points to show in a chart. Eg:- if the range is within a specific month then the best scale is to get data in days. Above function will provide the date unit as DAY so that we can retrieve the values in DAY table.(We are keeping the summarized data in Year,Month,Day,Hour,Minute tables).
Also another function gives us exact date slots as in minute range,hour range,day range for given date range so that would be helpful to calculate stats. We are using same table structure in IS Analytics and we need to reuse above components. Also I think keeping these in a common place will provide benefit to other analytics products as well. WDYT?
