There have been extensive discussions about messaging for the day,
involving OWS, the various OWS labor-related groups, and participating
unions.

The folks who raised the antiwar demand did so at the tail end of a
100-person coalition meeting when people were making announcements, and I
have no idea if they ever raised it in the smaller working meetings of the
coalition which had the extensive messaging discussions, and brought the
results to the larger group. I don't know what the process was for whoever
raised the antiracist demand.

As for the socialist unity statement: in the abstract it sounds wonderful,
but has the same vagueness as the May Day event itself which Glenn
complains about. I'm not saying I'm opposed to it, I'm just not sure what
it's getting at.
