I've an application which uses CDI. But CDI injection only works in WAS (8.0.0.1 and 8.0.0.5) when I add WEB-INF/beans.xml. Funnily CDI proxies get injected, but the ContextsService doesn't start the proper ThreadLocals, thus we get a ContextNotActiveException for e.g. ApplicationScoped. This is not sync with the CDI and EE umpbrella spec. CDI should be enabled when a single CDI user bean gets discovered.
