A virtual field trip is a great way to share your field site, community project or even classroom with a large international audience. A few facts to consider: • The 2020 all-virtual Annual Meeting included almost 4,000 attendees from more than 50 countries. • Because the meeting is virtual, the field trips will be 60-minute live sessions that allow participants to explore ecological attractions anywhere in the world -- think of the Vital Connections in Ecology theme! • We will hold networking activities every day of the meeting to make it easy to connect with scientists from around the world on areas of mutual interest. • The meeting will feature many opportunities to connect with our journals' editors and explore content in career development, new advances in environmental education, science communication and much more. • In addition to field trip proposals, we will also open submissions for latebreaking poster abstracts next week. • Thanks to the generosity of our members, there will be tens of thousands of dollars available in financial support for registration; applications will be available in the coming weeks. Even if you don't need the support, joining ESA [ https://www.esa.org/membership ] will mean a heavy discount on registration. Attendee engagement will be a critical component for a successful proposal.
