Zach, Yeah, I figured that was the case, and that they weren't suppressed either, but I was hoping that the cause might be a simple one.
Since not, I'm not sure what could be causing that off hand. Can you verify that you can get to one of the component pages in the public interface that isn't showing up in the tree view at the resource level? For instance, as per my previous two examples: * URL for the published child: http://public.archivesspace.org/repositories/2/archival_objects/3 (it displays!.. and you can grab the archival object ID, in this case "3,", directly from the staff interface) * URL for the unpublished child: http://public.archivesspace.org/repositories/2/archival_objects/4 (record not found message; and that's to be expected since it's unpublished and only available in the staff interface, with a similar URL: http://sandbox.archivesspace.org/resources/7#tree::archival_object_4) I had thought that that particular part of the public interface uses the API backend, so if you're seeing them in the staff application, I would think that you should see them in the public interface. I also think that there used to be a bug in the public interface that wouldn't display a clickable title in the tree view if a title had an EAD tag anywhere (e.g. unittitle = "Screenplay for <title>King Kong</title>"), but if that happened to be the case, then it still wouldn't display the message of "Resource has no components". So, perhaps it's an issue that the components haven't been indexed? Even if you don't have access to the logs and/or Solr index, you could add something to the title that would only appear in that record and then try searching in both the staff and public interface. I should have specified in the post, but the components are published (we did click the "Publish All" button), and looking at them, the "Published?" checkbox is checked. Just to check and make sure, could this be because you have unpublished components? Here's an example in the sandbox of what a resource record with a single unpublished component will look like: http://public.archivesspace.org/repositories/2/resources/7<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__public.archivesspace.org_repositories_2_resources_7&d=DwMFAg&c=-dg2m7zWuuDZ0MUcV7Sdqw&r=PjInOOP-yhZdvfCxvJExNB_3mSrTAYOjE-Ld3wjgoMo&m=A_Bpo_fR6h7egzZ5zJnFKqAbpqbZG5Tf0HekTatB7vw&s=177YMiblpwW1vgDKBpuu6o31um4xdnEl-B9i8Tl29mM&e=> That particular unpublished child is childless, but even if it had published components underneath of it, the display would be the same. If you check the publish box in the admin interface for to that component, though, then it would look something like this: http://public.archivesspace.org/repositories/2/resources/6<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__public.archivesspace.org_repositories_2_resources_6&d=DwMFAg&c=-dg2m7zWuuDZ0MUcV7Sdqw&r=PjInOOP-yhZdvfCxvJExNB_3mSrTAYOjE-Ld3wjgoMo&m=A_Bpo_fR6h7egzZ5zJnFKqAbpqbZG5Tf0HekTatB7vw&s=X6ki_-jjEDWuywciBao857G_tWu_AnlPFTsFPdgnMUs&e=> If that's not the issue, let us know and maybe someone else will have a better idea. But if you look in the frontend/admin side, the resource/component tree is clearly visible at the top of the record. This only occurs for some resources, for others the components section contains the tree as it should. We're pulling our hair out trying to figure out why some display and some do not. I recently updated to 1.53 hoping it would resolve this issue, nut nope. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears. Thanks!
