Hi Jennifer,

I think the resolution to the previous question happened off the list. It
turned out that there was language information on the archival objects
previously, but that didn't become clear until the upgrade because it was more
prominent afterwards than before.

The site cleaned it up with some MySQL queries. Let me know if you'd like help
walking through that process and I can turn this into a tech support ticket.

Subject: [Archivesspace_Users_Group] Language notes

Hi,

I have a question regarding the language notes. We recently upgraded from 2.6
to 2.8.1, and I learned afterward about the language note changes that came
with 2.7. We are in the process of doing some heavy editing to the finding aid
for our largest collection, and it looks like every time we edit one of the
Archival Objects, it automatically adds the language information. I've tried a
few things, and haven't been able to get rid of it. Would either of the
batch_update_langmaterials plugins help with this?

I found that a similar question was asked in December
2019<http://lyralists.lyrasis.org/pipermail/archivesspace_users_group/2019-December/007188.html>,
but there don't seem to be any group replies.

Thanks,
Jennifer
