Thật ra uim và uim-vi đều gõ trên được hầu hết các chương trình có nhiều tiến bộ so với ibus có lẻ ibus và ibus-qt phát triển chưa đồng bộ các chỉ số phiên bản nên có lúc đc, lúc kg. Còn uim-vi đã lượt bỏ 1 số tính năng của uim và bổ xung Xtelex, Xvni,..và chỉnh sửa cách khởi động Sau bác Kỳ kg giữ nguyên uim và bổ sung thư viện Xtelex,vni cho uim để nó mang tính toàn cục hơn.
