Hi,
It's a problem with maximum path length under Windows (~260 characters) :(. I
observed this issue and got rid of it by moving my local Maven repo to a
different location (a location with a shorter path).
I'm not sure why this causes such serious issues and why Maven is unable to
handle this situation properly (i.e. print a warning). I haven't had time to
dig into Maven internals yet.
However, I feel that if these Aries artifacts were called differently (not
org.apache.aries.samples.blueprint.helloworld.xxx), this problem would not be
observed :).
