On 17 August 2012, the ASO AC called for nominations for the ASO appointment to Seat 10 on the ICANN Board of Directors. View this announcement at:

If you are considering nominating someone or yourself, please do not wait until the end of the nomination phase. Nominees will need time to sign and return a letter certifying they are of good character, before the end of the nomination period. Failure to meet the deadline will make nominees ineligible for consideration by the ASO AC Qualification Review Committee. The ASO AC has now published the full timeline for other phases in the selection process. The timeline, along with details on how to submit a nomination, are available at the following URL: http://aso.icann.org/people/icann-board-elections/2013-elections/ Please note: Article VI of the ICANN Bylaws states that: “At any given time, no two Directors selected by a Supporting Organization shall be citizens from the same country or of countries located in the same Geographic Region.” The ASO AC selection for Seat 9 of the ICANN Board of Directors resides in the ARIN region, so nominees for Seat 10 cannot come from that region.
