The results of the 2012 Global IPv6 Deployment Monitoring Survey are now available. Approximately 1430 respondents from 105 economies participated in this year's survey. The findings reveal that 77% of those respondents have some level of IPv6 presence, which indicates increased uptake from the previous year. The report explains in further detail that the "real" use of IPv6 has also grown at a faster rate from 2011-2012 than was found from results of the previous survey. The survey was funded by the NRO and the European Commission and conducted by GNKS Consult and TNO. The survey was prepared and carried out by TNO/GNKS in close collaboration with AFRINIC, APNIC, ARIN, Lacnic and the RIPE NCC.
