The 2024 ARIN Elections concluded at 7:00 PM ET on Friday, 1 November, and ARIN 
wishes to congratulate those elected by the community to serve on the ARIN 
Board of Trustees and Advisory Council (AC) and the Number Resource 
Organization Number Council (NRO NC).

Board of Trustees

Ron da Silva has been elected, and incumbents Peter Harrison and Chris Tacit 
have been reelected to the Board of Trustees. Each will serve a three-year term 
commencing 1 January 2025. I hope you will join me and the rest of the Board of 
Trustees in thanking William Charnock, Chris Roosenraad, Keith Mitchell, John 
Brown, David Zumwalt, Shernon Osepa, Mike Burns, Altie Jackson, Philip 
Inshanally, and Adrian Schmidt for their participation in this year’s election. 
Their interest in contributing to ARIN’s future, and their concern for the 
governance of the organization and the Internet are deeply appreciated, and we 
look forward to their continued participation.

Advisory Council

Lily Botsyoe and William Herrin have been elected, and incumbents Kathleen 
Hunter, Chris Woodfield, and Alicia Trotman have been reelected to the AC for 
three-year terms beginning 1 January 2025. The Board of Trustees thanks Daniel 
Schatte, Matthew Cowen, E. Marie Brierley, and Andrés Mayhew for their 
participation in this year’s AC elections and looks forward to their continued 
involvement in our community, including Internet number resource policy 
development.

NRO Number Council

Amy Potter has been elected to a seat on the NRO NC from the ARIN region. Her 
three-year term will begin 1 January 2025. The Board of Trustees wishes to 
thank Frank Petrilli and Andrew Gallo for their participation as candidates in 
this year’s election and looks forward to their continued participation within 
the global Internet community.

Thanks and Appreciation

We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation and thanks to outgoing AC 
member Daniel Schatte, who has contributed to our community and done tremendous 
work in his role on the Advisory Council and beyond, and NRO NC member Chris 
Quesada, whose commitment has made an impact on the global Internet community.

2024 Nomination Process Summary

In accordance with the ARIN Bylaws and ARIN Election Processes:

- A call for nominations for the Board of Trustees, AC, and NRO NC went out to 
the ARIN community via the ARIN Announce and General Members mailing lists and 
ARIN’s website. ARIN’s Call for Nominations closed at the specified date and 
time as publicly announced, after a brief extension of the Board nomination 
deadline.
- The ARIN Nomination Committee confirmed the slate of candidates, noting 
assessed qualifications. Three nominations were received for the NRO NC, ten 
nominations were received for the AC and thirteen were received for the Board; 
all are present on the Final Slate of Candidates except for one AC nominee who 
withdrew their candidacy.
- ARIN’s President and CEO notified the General Membership of the slate of 
candidates.
- Candidate biographies were posted to the ARIN website and the Voting Contacts 
of all eligible General Members in Good Standing were sent an email with a link 
to the 2024 Voter Guide that contained the candidate biographies and given the 
opportunity to read and post Statements of Support for each candidate. All 
candidates were subscribed to the General Members mailing list, and all voting 
contacts and Points of Contacts of eligible General Members were notified of 
the availability of the list and the opportunity to engage with candidates.
- Each candidate was provided an opportunity to record a video addressing the 
community at the ARIN 54 Public Policy and Members Meeting on Thursday, 24 
October 2024.

2024 Election Process Summary

- ARIN President and CEO John Curran certified a list of eligible member 
organizations and affiliated Voting Contacts. ARIN Board of Trustee Nancy 
Carter confirmed the President’s review.
- Online voting for eligible General Members in Good Standing began 24 October 
2024 at 3:00 PM ET. Voting closed eight days later (1 November 2024 at 7:00 PM 
ET). All online votes were confirmed.
- Quorum in the Board and AC elections was achieved as ballots were cast by 
over 5% of the total eligible General Membership.
- Adherence to approved voting procedures and the vote tally were confirmed by 
ARIN President and CEO John Curran, ARIN Board of Trustee Nancy Carter, and 
ARIN General Counsel Michael Abejuela.
- The results are provided below. The election process and results have been 
verified according to the requirements of the ARIN Bylaws.
