The AC abandoned ARIN-2013-1 and ARIN-2013-2. Anyone dissatisfied with
these decisions may initiate a petition. The deadline to begin a
petition will be five business days after the AC's draft meeting minutes
are published.
The minutes of the AC's 20 June 2013 meeting have been published and are
available at:
https://www.arin.net/about_us/ac/index.html
The deadline to begin a petition is 12 July 2013.
In addition to the minutes, the AC also provided the following statements:
"Based on the feedback received at the ARIN 31 Public Policy Meeting,
and at the Public Policy Consultation at NANOG 58, the ARIN AC voted to
abandon ARIN-2013-1 "Section 8.4 Inter-RIR Transfers of ASNs". The
feedback from the community indicated that many people felt the policy
was unnecessary as it would have no effect until/unless another RIR
expresses interest in allowing Inter-RIR ASN transfers as well.
Based on the feedback received at the ARIN 31 Public Policy Meeting, and
at the Public Policy Consultation at NANOG 58, the ARIN AC voted to
abandon ARIN-2013-2 "3GPP Network IP Resource Policy". The feedback from
the community indicated a consensus that this issue was not worth
addressing in policy at this time."
