Hi David, What do you suggest as the next step? Bill rightly points out that he got only two responses to his query, both against the proposal. >From my point of view, the original language works as desired. The proposed language creates a revolving door for addresses -- get some new ones from the free pool and sell some old ones to foreign organizations. Given than addresses can be used by a subsidiary without any harm to the parent and without changing the registration, the direct need for this proposal is only slightly above nonexistent. The problem isn't real. So it's stated function is a no-op while the abuse function for someone ready to navigate the byzantine depths of ARIN policy is substantial. Call me crazy, but I think the 36 who asked for further work really want a more generalized relaxation of ARIN transfer policies. Call their votes an expression of frustration.
