Speaking only as myself… To be clear to all those that are supporting this as a discussion petition… It is not.
It is a petition to have the board of trustees reconsider the determination by the AC that the proposal was out of scope of the PDP. I believe the proposal to be out of scope because the remedies it proposes are generally outside of the scope of the NRPM. I must, however, wonder how much of the support is for something that isn’t the subject of the petition given the number of comments like the one below. To be clear, the proposal can be discussed on PPML without being accepted onto the docket of the advisory council and without having draft policy status. There is nothing preventing discussion of the proposal at this time other than the choice of community members on this list to refrain from doing so.
