In accordance with the Policy Development Process (PDP), the Advisory Council met on 21 May 2020.


The AC has advanced the following to Recommended Draft Policy status (will be posted separately for discussion):

* ARIN-2019-1: Clarify Section 4 IPv4 Request Requirements

The AC advances Draft Policies to Recommended Draft Policy status once they have been fully developed and meet ARIN's Principles of Internet Number Resource Policy. Specifically, these principles are:

* Enabling Fair and Impartial Number Resource Administration
* Technically Sound
* Supported by the Community



The AC has classified the following as an Editorial Change (will be posted separately for discussion):

* ARIN-prop-287: Clarification of reference to 8.2 in 8.3

Per Part One, Section 3.1 of the PDP:

"Changes to policy that are purely editorial and non-substantial in nature are outside the scope of the full Policy Development Process and may only be made with 30 days public notice followed by the concurrence of both the ARIN Advisory Council and ARIN Board of Trustees that the changes are non-substantial in nature."



The AC is continuing to work on:

* ARIN-2019-10: Inter-RIR M&A
* ARIN-2019-12: M&A Legal Jurisdiction Exclusion
* ARIN-2019-20: Harmonization of Maximum Allocation Requirements under Sections 4.1.8 (ARIN Waitlist) and 4.2.2 (Initial Allocation to ISPs)
* ARIN-2019-21: Reserved Pool Replenishment

Draft Policies:

* ARIN-2020-1: Clarify Holding Period for Resources Received via 4.1.8 Waitlist * ARIN-2020-2: Grandfathering of Organizations Removed from Waitlist by Implementation of ARIN-2019-16
* ARIN-2020-3: IPv6 Nano-Allocations

Proposals:

* ARIN-prop-288: Clarify and Update Requirements for Allocations to Downstream Customers
