The Last Call period for Recommended Draft Policy ARIN-2020-2 expired on 3
November, 2020.

Per ARIN's Policy Development Process (PDP), all Recommended Draft Policies not
sent to the ARIN Board of Trustees for adoption consideration within 60 days of
Last Call completion will revert to Draft Policy status.

Accounting for three US federal holidays, this 60-day window closes at 11:59 PM
Eastern Time tonight.

Tomorrow, 6 January, a petition initiation window will open for five calendar
days.

During the petition initiation window, a petition may be initiated by sending
an email message to the ARIN Public Policy Mailing List (PPML) clearly
requesting a petition against reversion to draft status and including a
statement to the community on why the petition is warranted. ARIN Staff will
confirm the validity of the petition request and then announce the start of the
petition period on the PPML mailing list.

If a petition is initiated, there is a five-day window during which support for
the petition may be expressed, and ARIN staff will receive, verify and count
expressions of petition support. A petition for Board of Trustees adoption
consideration will require support from 25 individuals from 25 distinct
organizations to be considered successful. If successful by the end of the
five-day period, the petition details and results will be forwarded to the
Board of Trustees for adoption consideration at their next meeting.
