Christian -

Our statement regarding "AFRINIC And The Stability Of The Internet Number
Registry System” is accurate to the best of my knowledge, and whether Mr Lu’s
actions detailed therein "put him and his business in such a bad light” is not
my concern – my concern is making sure that the ARIN community has access to
the facts of situation and understands ARIN’s position.

Hello John,

Thank you for your willingness to address questions that I might have.

I just want to mention that I am very much aware of the article. Thus, I
understand well the position of ARIN on this issue. There is no question on
ARIN's support for AFRINIC and I do appreciate the concept of mutual support
that the RIRs are upholding. However, your statements on Mr Lu could be easily
misinterpreted by people who have not understood well how CI is able to provide
trusted service to millions of end-users. It seems unnecessary to put him and
his business in such a bad light, knowing that you clearly mentioned as well
that the community must not make judgements/assumptions as we are waiting for
the court's decision.

Christian

Good Morning Christian -

If you have a particular question about ARIN’s position on the AFRINIC dispute
(as delineated in the referenced article on ARIN’s web site entitled "AFRINIC
And The Stability Of The Internet Number Registry System”), then I’d be happy
to clarify it in response to any particular question you might have. I don’t
see any questions in your assertions below, so there’s really nothing to
respond to other than to acknowledge that you are welcome to share them here
and note that I find your characterization fundamentally disconnected from the
facts of the situation.

Best wishes,

Hi John,

I think Cloud Innovation has made it very clear that the question you and a few
others have raised is sub judice. It looks like you are intervening in this
lawsuit so you can give AfriNIC the technical advantage even if they are in the
wrong.

Mr. Lu Heng has also made it clear to you that he is protecting his users'
data, to the point that he chose to give up 1 million space. Unfortunately, not
only have you disrespected the protection of personal data, but you have also
portraited his noble action as some sort of fraud.

Moreover, in order to achieve all of this, you have extended the subject of an
entire mailing list, which is solely dedicated to policy discussions, and which
was previously restricted.

And while you claim that you are trying to protect the global internet, you
seem to be in total denial of the fact that Cloud Innovation also serves
millions of users, and that AfriNIC has tried to stop the internet connectivity
for those millions of users with complete disregard of the internet stability.

In the same text, you have claimed that Cloud Innovation uses IP addresses
outside of the ARIN region and have continued in the next paragraph that Cloud
Innovation is using IP addresses in the US (i.e. ARIN region). John, I think
you have failed your character assassination attempt in this case with your
inconsistent statements and misleading words, and maybe you should recognize
that and move on before you lose more credibility.

Regards,
Christian
