In accordance with the Policy Development Process (PDP), the Advisory Council met on 15 February 2024.
The AC has rejected the following Proposal due to scope: *ARIN-prop-326: Replace Specified Transfers with Monthly Single-Price Auction Per ARIN's PDP: Policy Proposals that are determined by the AC to be out of scope (e.g. for not addressing a clearly defined existing or expected problem, or that propose solutions involving other than number resource policy in the region) are rejected. “If a Policy Proposal has been rejected as out of scope, a member of the Internet Community may request that a Petition be initiated to advance the Policy Proposal to a Draft Policy as defined in section 3 [of the PDP]. This Petition request must occur within seven days after the announcement date of the Advisory Council action.” The petition deadline for the rejection of ARIN-prop-326 is 28 February 2024, seven days from today. The AC has advanced the following to Recommended Draft Policy status (will be posted separately for discussion): * ARIN-2023-7: Clarification of NRPM Sections 4.5 and 6.11 Multiple Discrete Networks The AC advances Draft Policies to Recommended Draft Policy status once they have been fully developed and meet ARIN's Principles of Internet Number Resource Policy. Specifically, these principles are: * Enabling Fair and Impartial Number Resource Administration * Technically Sound * Supported by the Community The AC is continuing to work on: Draft Policies: * ARIN-2022-12: Direct Assignment Language Update * ARIN-2023-6: ARIN Waitlist Qualification * ARIN-2023-8: Reduce 4.1.8 Maximum Allocation * ARIN-2024-1: Definition of Organization ID/Org ID Recommended Draft Policies: * ARIN-2023-1: Retire 4.2.1.4.
