In accordance with the Policy Development Process (PDP), the Advisory Council
met on 24 January 2025

The AC has advanced the following to Draft Policy status (will be posted
separately for discussion):

*ARIN-prop-339: Clarify ISP and LIR Definitions and References to Address
Ambiguity in NRPM Text

You are encouraged to discuss all Draft Policies on PPML. The AC will evaluate
the discussion to assess the conformance of this draft policy with ARIN's
Principles of Internet number resource policy as stated in the Policy
Development Process (PDP). Specifically, these principles are:

* Enabling Fair and Impartial Number Resource Administration
* Technically Sound
* Supported by the Community

The AC has abandoned the following:

*ARIN-2024-1: Definition of Organization ID/Org ID

The AC issued the following statement: “The ARIN Advisory Council has abandoned
ARIN-2024-1: Definition of Organization ID/Org ID as this policy proposal
lacked broad community support. The majority of the feedback received from the
community did not support defining this term in policy.”

Anyone dissatisfied with this decision may initiate a petition. This petition
request must occur within seven days after the announcement date of the
Advisory Council action. The petition deadline for the abandonment of 2024-1 is
5 February 2025.
