Hi
Due to some strange Oracle issues, the OT&E environment is unavailable. We
are working diligently on getting it back in the water. We apologize for
the inconvenience and will provide notice when it is operational.
Regards,
Mark Kosters

Hi
The OT&E environment is back up and has been refreshed with July 1 update
of the ARIN Online production database. Please notify [email protected]
with any issues that you may have with its service.

Mark Kosters

Subject: [arin-tech-discuss] Reg-RWS XML schema conversion to W3C
format
Message-ID:

I'm trying to convert the downloaded Reg-RWS schema from RELAX NG Compact
format to W3C XML format, because my development tools require the latter.
My approach is to use Jing to produce a flattened schema (because Trang
doesn't support externalRef) and then Trang to convert that to the target
format. I think I've been successful with most of the process but
encountered two issues.
I first had this problem where ApiKeyPayload.rnc didn't define dateTime:
$ java -jar ~/Downloads/jing-20090818/bin/jing.jar -sc ApiKeyPayload.rnc
ApiKeyPayload.rnc:7:30: error: reference to undefined pattern "dateTime"
That appeared to be a simple omission solved by adding "dateTime =
\string" to the file.
The only other file failing Jing's validation is CountryPayload.rnc:
$ java -jar ~/Downloads/jing-20090818/bin/jing.jar -sc CountryPayload.rnc
error: found element matching the prohibited path start//empty in the
simplified XML form of the schema (see section 7.1 of the RELAX NG
specification)
Lacking a more thorough understanding of RELAX NG (although I did skim the
spec), I don't know whether that is a bug in the validator or a problem
with the syntax of the schema (and how to modify it to solve the problem).

I must have missed this email but I put my whois information on Arin.net
when our home network was completely ransacked and I had three or four
computers that have been completely under control for the last few months I
would love to speak with someone about this.
I have been keeping massive amounts of logs there is also industrial
strength Cisco server that has no security on it right next door a lot of
this started occurring due to the fact that's a mobile devices on our
network will automatically connect to it when the router sig is weak.
I am Not sure if this is related but our PCs have clearly been pulled into
an Active Directory and it has been a nightmare for me.
Thanks for getting in touch like I said I know computers and networks but I
did not know how to initiate speaking to someone
About this.
Thanks,
Brett Yenser

Yes... on the other hand; if the network is Legacy, and ARIN
listed as assignment, and addresses will be reallocated to other
users from some or all of the delegation; then ARIN may have
mischaracterized the network,
That was not delegated under _either_ an ISP/LIR policy OR an
End-user policy.
There should probably be a simple form for changing a network type
from end-user assignment into an allocation or vice-versa; if the
allocation is not legacy, that might result in application of a
different fee schedule and justification requirements though,
and requesting such a change would essentially be evidence that usage
of the network changed from the expected usage that was provided in
the past to justify delegation of the network by ARIN.

Hi
If I have 2 orgHandles, let's call COMP1, COMP2, and there are
some NET-HANDLEs & and POC-HANDLEs under COMP1, and I want to move all these
netHandles & pocHanles under COMP1 to under COMP2, how do I do it? Is there
only one call method or easy way that I can use under Arin's RESTful service?

Hello Sean,
There's no way to globally replace COMP1 with COMP2.
For reassignments/reallocations, you'd just delete each existing record and
re-create them with COMP2 specified as the Org ID.
For anything directly registered (direct assignments, direct allocations, and
AS numbers), there's no way for you to change the Org ID. You'd need to
contact ARIN directly to request a consolidation, name change, transfer, etc.
(whatever process is relevant to the reason you're switching everything from
COMP1 to COMP2).
If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns please respond to this
message or contact me directly.
