Greets, Sean and Matthew:

Thanks for the info, Matthew!

The results you were getting are consistent with what happens when you attempt
to use OT&E services but haven't been granted access from your client.

FWIW, I have confirmed that all OT&E services are up and running, and available
via a wide variety of browsers on multiple OSes (browsers included Safari,
Chrome, Firefox, IE, w3m, curl, and wget), when accessed from a permitted
client.

Sean, I believe that the issue that you're having is related to access issues.

Sean: please contact us via "Ask ARIN" for one-on-one communication so that we
can best address your access needs.

Best regards,
Tim Christensen

Tim,

I likely do not have OT&E access from the client IP address..... for sure. It
was actually during (en route) via an Amtrak Connect wifi point (Sorry :)). I
only later understood the entire concept of access methods.

The IP Is probably not authenticated; and in point; thank you for your thank
you to both you and Sean. Very welcoming :). Glad to be of any assist or
help any time.

Thank you for being community-minded and diving in to help out Sean.

Can you advise whether you have requested OT&E access from the client IP
address you're attempting to connect from?

Thanks much,

I understand. I cannot be sure if it is ip address problem. Please understand I
am not trying to pick up something or somebody to blame. Just trying to get
some ideas or solutions. I have researched with these "bad" machine. It is fine
to hit any other website(as much as I can test) but not
www.ote.arin.net<http://www.ote.arin.net>. I searched around the google. They
all pointed out to the different way... since it is only ote.arin.net, that is
why I am asking you guys if you have seen this kind of issues. Maybe you guys
can help out from the "hell" :). I am feeling that I am hitting a nail with
hammer with blindfold.

Thanks

Hi Sean,

As a follow-up....

The information regarding ARIN's OT&E environment is summarized at
https://www.arin.net/resources/ote.html,

and it points out that:

"To request access to OT&E, log into your ARIN Online account and use Ask ARIN
to request access to the environment using "Other" as the message topic. Once
vetted, ARIN will grant OT&E environment access and send additional usage
instructions. ARIN encourages all OT&E users to
subscribe<http://lists.arin.net/mailman/listinfo/arin-tech-discuss> and
participate on the
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> mailing list for
information sharing and outage information."

OT&E access is restricted via an ACL to specific client addresses or ranges.
It will be a requirement for any client wishing to access OT&E to request such
access via the "Ask ARIN" feature in ARIN Online.

If you're able to access OT&E via IE9 on a particular client but cannot access
it using another browser on the same client (using the same IP address), please
advise.

Warm regards,
Tim

Hello Sean,

After I was able to recreate the issue, it occurred to us that I'm experiencing
the same issue because the IP address from which I'm working at the moment is
not on the Access Control List for the OT&E environment.

Can you confirm whether the IP addresses of the various clients have been
requested to be added to the ACL for OT&E via an "Ask ARIN" request?

Warm regards,

Tim

Hello,
We are facing some weird issues for your ote env. Some
browsers(ie9) can see your www.ote.arin.net<http://www.ote.arin.net/>
andhttp://whois.ote.arin.net/rest/org/CLC-121/pft just fine. Some browers in
the office are not. As long as they hit
www.ote.arin.net<http://www.ote.arin.net/>
orhttp://whois.ote.arin.net/rest/org/CLC-121/pft ,the browers just keep running
and running util they failed.
Do you know what is wrong? Any idea? We did try to disable all
the add-ons. But still does not work.

Any response will be appreciated.
